PCD Diamond Bits

PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) drills are ultra-hard material cutting tools that use polycrystalline diamond composite inserts as the cutting edge. They are formed by sintering diamond powder with a hard alloy matrix at high temperatures and pressures. These drills possess extremely high hardness, wear resistance, and thermal stability, making them ideal for efficient machining of non-ferrous metals, composites, ceramics, and high-hardness non-metallic materials.

Structural composition

1. Drill bit base: high strength hard alloy is used to ensure the overall rigidity and torsional strength.

2. PCD cutting layer: diamond particles are sintered with metal binder in a directional arrangement to form continuous cutting edge, with a thickness of 0.5-2mm and a life of 50-100 times that of cemented carbide drill bit.

3. Chip removal slot design: spiral or straight slot structure to optimize chip removal efficiency and reduce processing heat accumulation.

4. Handle connection: standard cylindrical handle or flat handle, suitable for general drilling machine and CNC equipment.

Technical features

1. Ultra high wear resistance: Mohs hardness is greater than or equal to 90, suitable for glass fiber, silicon carbide and other high abrasiveness materials processing.

2. High thermal stability: the temperature can reach 800℃ to avoid the dulling of the blade caused by high temperature.

3. Precision machining: edge jump ≤0.02mm, hole diameter tolerance IT7-IT8 grade, surface roughness Ra ≤0.8μm.

4. Wide adaptability: can be processed aluminum alloy, copper alloy, reinforced plastic, graphite and other materials, the speed range of 500-6000rpm.
